Privacy Policy

How Clevid collects, processes, and protects personal data for hiring organizations, recruiters, and assessment candidates.

This Privacy Policy explains how Clevid ("we", "our", or "us") processes personal information when you use the Clevid website, the HR Console, and the Clevid Desktop Client.

1. Roles: Data Controller vs. Data Processor

  • When you take an assessment as a Candidate: The hiring organization (your prospective employer or university) is the Data Controller, and Clevid acts as the Data Processor processing your assessment responses and proctoring recordings strictly under the organization's instructions.
  • When you use the HR Console or visit clevid.com: Clevid acts as the Data Controller for recruiter account credentials, billing records, and website analytics.

2. Information we process

Recruiter & Organization Accounts

  • Full name, work email address, organization name, and role permissions.
  • Sign-in activity and billing transaction records.

Assessment Candidates

  • Name, email address, and optional application identifier provided by the inviting organization.
  • Assessment responses, code submissions, and proctoring recordings captured during the active assessment window (detailed in Candidate Data Handling).

3. Infrastructure & security

Clevid uses secure cloud infrastructure solely to host, process, and deliver assessment services. We do not share personal information with third-party advertising networks.

4. Exercising your privacy rights (GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA)

Candidates wishing to access, export, or delete their assessment record should submit their request to the hiring organization that invited them, or contact privacy@clevid.com with their Session Receipt ID so we can route and fulfill the request promptly.
